East 53rd Street Parklet

Color selection, and advisory role for furniture selection and overall site design of a small parklet on East 53rd Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan, intended to be a prototype for more parklets in the Fifth Avenue district.

The area needed lively, welcoming, sophisticated yet fun colors to invite people to the small space and signal a new place of respite on the busy Fifth Avenue shopping corridor. It is now well-used as a place to rest, recharge, and eat.
