Five-week performance series in Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Design and planning of a five-week outdoor performance series in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, programmed by Queens Theatre.

This was the early stages of a project that has now become a Mellon Foundation-funded initiative to bring arts and cultural outdoor events more equitably to all five boroughs of NYC, giving artists more opportunities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Queens Theatre series represented a diverse group of artists, included performers such as Dorrance Dance featuring Keyon Harrold, Capulli Mexican Dance Company, and Queensborough Dance Festival.

We performed site and event design, that included a stage, signage including customized sign structures, and light and audio equipment. Other partners/collaborators: LSTN Consultants, Alfafa Studio.
